THE GIFT OF A TRANSFORMED LIFE

The enormity of the crime of the murder of Jesus Christ should not be buried in a pile of religiosity or church history. To see it for what it is, is to see it for the Satan inspired, human hatred of un-diluted life. It was not those bad-guys who crucified Jesus. It was all of us. Why? Because the non-religious man and the religious man cannot tolerate unadulterated life – the kind of life which they perceive cuts across their vested in interests in earning/selling salvation.
INIQUITY
But it was not just vested interests that created hostility to Jesus. It was an innate hostility to life that issued from those whose spirit and soul had baked into it the culture of death.
AFFRONTED FIG-LEAVES
It’s often the religious that are innately hostile to un-abridged life. Why? They have woven for themselves a garment of assumed virtue that is threadbare when compared to the unadorned self as it can be in Jesus. But relying on our own invented goodness is like going to the Ball dressed in a string bag.
FOETID VISION
The fabric of self-congratulation/fake righteousness can take the form of ‘my religion’ or my humanism and my imagined self-enlightenment. For the religious it takes the form of a self-made contract comprising a bunch of virtues affording credibility among our peers. The hidden iniquity of the Pharisaic mindset is revealed when the religionist labels genuine ministers of life as heretical or demonic. Where did we see that before?
OFFENDED
Religious money-lenders are made insecure when Ministers of Life present the life of Christ in its undiluted grace and appalling (to the religious) simplicity. They become resentful because it is shown that their currency is worthless and Christ’s currency is GIFT.
FEAR OF UNCOMPLICATED LIFE
I was asked to speak at a staff worship once. Someone had heard that I spoke words of life. People who live in a half-baked gospel often try to hide in it, rather than take of their fig-leaves and expose themselves to the un-inhibited life that is theirs in Jesus Christ. As I spoke, the expression on the face of one of my bosses revealed terror. This is the fear revealed by those who live as witchetty grubs in a decayed hollow tree rather than in the Tree of Life. There’s a certain brand of religion that does not like Life-Givers.
IT’S A GIFT
Well before Jesus presented Himself as Our Life in the course of history, He had advertised His salvation as ‘without money and without price’. Yet so many of the religious feel themselves compelled to add something to Jesus such as some distinctive or some ‘key’ that makes no difference, other than to dull the effect of the unadulterated Jesus in our lives. The more we add to Jesus the more we prolong the decay, feebleness of spirit and emotional disease that is driven out when we choose to live Christ as our life.
